Lots! Lots! Lots!
I had an inspirational weekend and built three lots! Two are ultra modern houses for single sims, one is for modern family living. All of them are unfurnished but have some of my walls and floors. No FA content to worry about! Hope you will like them! :-)Double Trouble?
Is it possible to run multiple shops at once? I made a Flower & Gift shop and Coffee shop & Restaurant combo. It is quite convenient to play, I tried it myself. But you do need a lot of staff, and no matter how good care you take of them, somebody is bound to quit the job... Good luck with this one!My favorite sofa!
I just uploaded some new upholsters for Maxis old Satinistics sofa. I love it, it reminds me of a IKEA sofa I had for many years, until the kids jumped it into the dumpster. The sofa is not so easy to recolor, though. I usually separate the shadows and use them with my recolors for a more realistic feeling. But all the original sofas have a pattern that is difficult to erase. I did my best, hope you like them! PS: Some of my recolored objects only come with my lots.Going underground
I've been planning to build an underground nightclub for a long time. I just didn't know what to build above it. Thanks to Cyclonesue (luv you!), I now could build a condemned apartment building on the top of the club! You can wander around the whole building, if you wish. You can also furnish a room or two, maybe as a club room for a secret society...I'm now going to install OFB (which I always think of as Out of Business, for some reason...). Have to figure what kind of shop I'd like to build. Maybe I could update my Kmart and WildWildWest? Is that a cheap idea, or a smart one?
Luv the ethnic!
Just uploaded an African dorm. As you might have noticed, I luv Indian and African stuff. You can refurnish it with some items from Bon Voyage, if you have that expansion. I'm working my way up through all expansions, keeping to the content of each. Now that's a challenge! My next project is a Nightlife lot. Check back here within a week!New Year Basegame!
Getting back into business again! Now I'm installing one expansion at the time, doing recolors for that specific expansion plus building one lot for each. A basegame-only lot is already uploaded.I installed Uni today, and once I get my house back in order (doing some serious re-decorating and major cleaning), I'll build something for students.
Wish you all a very happy Simmin' year!!
CRASH KA-BOOM!!
So my computer finally crashed. Good thing I did some back-up just the days before. But you all know how annoying it still is, and the time it takes to install all the games! Also, there's some problem with my Sims 2 basegame CD:s, as the installation freezes at the control point. I managed to get around that, but the same happens with Uni... and I really need some of the objects from that expansion!!But alas, as it is raining and pouring, there really isn't anything else to do but to fix the computer. A fresh new hard-drive and some extra memory will keep me busy.
In some ways, it's quite liberating having to start from zero with the Sims 2. I'm somewhat of a collector and had too many things for the game. Maybe that even contributed to the overload...
Now I'm making a New Year's promise of not downloading ANY custom content that isn't my own.
I really won't bet on myself, though...! :-)
My computer drives me mad!!
I have every Sims2 expansion and stuff on my computer, but can't play the game without my computer choking. What happens first is that the screen goes blue whilst the time-glass is spinning. Then the screen comes back. After this has happened a few times, the screen turns permanently blue, then black, and by then the game has crashed. If I'm lucky, I get to play for some time before trouble starts. But sometimes it happens as soon as I enter the game. I'm about to get seriously allergic to the color blue...
ARGHHH!!! I got to get me a new and more powerful computer!!
- - - Still working on my African theme. Here are some beds and beddings that will make any bedroom exotic!
Waiting for SimPE update...
I guess we are all waiting, more or less patiently, for the Vacation-update of SimPE! Meanwhile, I'm doing some simple recolors that can be used for vacation resorts or summer houses. My first hotel will be coming up soon!Loading for vacation resorts!
I have been playing Bon Voyage and really like it! Now I'm planning for some holiday resorts. I have several exotic themes in my mind. For a starter, I have just uploaded some cool African wallpapers that I made. I've also made tropical and Japanese walls, but some of them are quite plain and simple. They will just come with the lots.In a few days I'll be off to Spain for a conference. Hopefully I will get some inspiration from staying at a holiday resort myself!
